Trash Talk No. 1

Hi and welcome to our very first Trash Talk, which isn’t really trash talking, it’s just an review of my recent empties. Initially, I wanted to wait and do one for the year, but that would mean lugging around trash as I travel and sorry, I don’t have luggage space for that. So without further ado, let’s dive in….

H2O+ OASIS MOISTURE BOOST SERUM

Ever since an esthethican mentioned that I had dehydrated skin (dehydrated, but oily to be exact), I’ve tried various hydrating serums. Naturally, some were better than others. Since my cousin raves about this product, I had to test it out for myself. I can see why she likes it so much, it works. But maybe she hyped it too much and I was expecting more. Still, I like it enough.

CLINIQUE PEP-START EYE CREAM

The packaging is what initally attracted me to this eye cream. The applicator is cute, but I’m not sure how effective it is. I have a hard time with eye cream. I’ve yet to come across one that I love or even like. And while I didn’t hate this one, I don’t like it enough to repurchase.

NEUTROGENA MAKE-UP REMOVER CLEANSING TOWELETTES

What can I say about these makeup wipe? They work. Isn’t that enough? I buy these in bulk from Costco and spilt them with my sister.

MALIN + GOETZ PEPPERMINT SHAMPOO & MALIN + GOETZ CILANTRO HAIR CONDITIONER

If you’re wondering why these are so small, it’s because I got them from the Mondrian hotel in London. Do you take hotel toiletries home? I do, but only if I like the products. The only other Malin + Goetz product I’ve used was their Detox Mask, so I was excited to try their shampoo and conditioner. At first, I was worried how a cilantro conditioner might smell, but it was fine. These are better than the normal hotel toiletries but they didn’t wow me enough to want to buy a full size bottle because there are just so many shampoo and conditioners on the market that I want to try.

BIORÉ AQUA RICHE WATERY ESSENCE

I got this last time I was in Thailand. What I love about this is that it doesn’t feel like sunblock. I actually don’t have a problem with the texture and feel of traditional sunblock, but if you are someone who does, then I recommend you try this. It glides on so smoothly and it won’t leave your face chalky or greasy. It feels more like a primer than sunblock.

DAVINES MOMO CONDITIONER

Before I chopped off my hair, my strands were seriously dried and dehydrated. So one day, while I was in Soho, I popped into Birchbox and picked up this conditioner. The only other time I used a Davines conditioner was when I ombréd my hair and the colorist recommeded it. I can’t recall the name, but I know it wasn’t Momo. But Momo worked, it brought my tresses back to life.
