Trash Talk No. 8

Hello! Welcome back to our latest edition of Trash Talk, where we discuss skincare empties and whether we would repurchase or not.

The Seaweed Bath Co Clear Guard SPF 40 sport

We’ll kick things off with this sunscreen I got from Whole Foods cause it was on sale. I wasn’t expecting much, just needed sunscreen for my daily hot girl walk, so I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I liked it. I especially liked the fine mist.

REPURCHASE: yes

Three Balancing Cleansing Oil

I heard a lot of good about the Japanese cosmetic brand Three. Unfortunately, until recently there really wasn’t a way to get your hands on it stateside. Luckily, last time when I was in Asia, I had the opportunity to pick it up some products. This cleansing oil is super gentle and effective. Vichy Mineral 89 Skin Fortifying Booster

I know that some people think hyaluronic acid is unnecessary, especially since nowadays it’s in so many products. But having a specific HA dedicated serum works for me. And if it’s not broken…you know the rest. I have oily, but dehydrated skin, so HA has been a part of my routine forever. This is probably my third or fourth Vichy bottle. It’s a great price point. I don’t think HA has to expensive. I’ve seen some go for over one hundred dollars. This one will set you back thirty dollars, but it’s routinely on sale at Ulta or Target.

REPURCHASE: yes

Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Peptide Face Cream

Okay, first off, I love when moisturizers come in an airless pump container – it’s so much more hygienic. Second, this moisturizer is very thick and hydrating, but it’s also not too heavy. I used it more as a night cream, so I have no idea how it lays under makeup. I think if you’re a dry or dehyrated girlie, you’ll be happy with this. Supergoop Glow Stick SPF 50

I generally like Supergoop sunscreens. And I really like the ease of use of a stick. It is great for reapplication, something I really need to work on. However, my face is already a bit on the oily side and this sunscreen made it super shiny. I mean, it’s right there in the name – glow.

REPURCHASE: probably not

Sephora Strengthening Hair Serum

The reviews for this is great. And it’s a great price point. However, I didn’t really noticed a difference in my hair. Although I was very inconsistent with it. Who know what the results would be if I was more disciplined. So I might try it again and be more diligent.

REPURCHASE: maybe
