I’m Lesley Thornton, a licensed esthetician and the founder of Klur.co ⠀ Klur is an eco-inclusive skin and personal care brand based in Los Angeles, CA. ⠀ I started Klur as a facial studio, and for nearly a decade, I specialized in natural and non-toxic facial treatments. I learned that the best results were achieved when nature and science were combined to work in harmony. ⠀ With expert training and hands-on experience, I was able to document the effects of various ingredients and formulations on diverse skin. So here we are. It’s 2020 – a year in which no one could have ever predicted, but one in which will have profound impacts on the world for years to come. As I continue to reflect on this crucial movement towards Black equality and justice, I challenge myself to find new ways for Briogeo to do its part in supporting lasting change. ⁣ ⁣ Things won't ever be "business as usual" at Briogeo because we are constantly evolving, making improvements and finding new ways to be thoughtful about how we can make giving back an evergreen part of our business model.⁣ ⁣ We will continue to support the #blacklivesmatter and racial equality movement by increasing our financial aid to @aclu_nationwide, @blklivesmatter, and @mnfreedomfund. We will also match all employee donations to organizations that support the #blacklivesmatter movement. We will also double our commitment to our local community by providing another 50,000 meals through the Food Bank For New York City.⁣ ⁣ I want to be even more thoughtful and impactful, so I will take some time this summer to do deeper research and heart-work into what our evergreen commitment will look like. I'll report back here so that I can share with you the full plan that I feel most passionate about and that will have the most meaningful impact through our mission as a company.
